Manual Handling Instuctors Course

This three-day course is aimed at those who carry out manual handling training within the workplace.  It covers both the manual handling of objects and people. It is designed to allow established trainers to gain the necessary subject knowledge and to put this into practise. 

The course is made up of the following units:

Unit 1          Ergonomics

Unit 2          The law relating to moving & handling

Unit 3          Risk assessment in relation to moving & handling

Unit 4          The duty of care

Unit 5          Anatomy & Physiology of the back

Unit 6          Essential considerations

relating to manual handling

Unit 7          Practical skills

Assessment

During the course learners will be assessed by means of a practical assignment, a micro-teach and a fifty multiple-choice question paper.

Costs

The cost per delegate attending an “open” course is £581.63. This covers certification, manuals, a full training pack and tea/coffee.

The cost of for an “in-house” course is £3525 for up to 10 students

when run at your venue. Additional students are charged at £293.75

each. This includes certification and manuals for each student, and a

training pack for the company.
