Part 1 - Role and responsibility. (15 hours)

Appropriate behaviour for door supervisors. Search and arrest procedures. Drug awareness. Civil and criminal law. Health & safety at work. Emergency procedures. Licensing law. Crime preservation and recording incidents. Equal opportunities and discrimination.

Part 2 - Communication skills and conflict resolution. (15 hours)

How to eject and refuse entry in a manner that will reduce risk of conflict. Understanding laws of arrest. Identifying types of incidents and how to deal with them. Avoiding conflict and reducing risk. Defusing conflict. Resolving conflict. Learning from conflict.
